Scottie Public Affairs Logo Redesign

Scottie Public Affairs is a strategic communications consulting firm in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The firm offers strategic communications advice to corporate, non-profit, and political clients across the country. The logo redesign includes the addition of speech bubbles that hint at the communications part of the firm. The necessary brand element, a Scottie dog, is also included as a reference to the name, the owner’s tenacity, and her ancestry. The new dog is pouncing into action to signify that the firm is not lazy and will fight for its clients. The font used in the redesign is Montserrat.

Originally I pitched different colors from the selected design because Scottie works with a lot of political clients, so I wanted to hint at that. I also tried just a scottie dog's head in a speech bubble since we were highlighting the communication aspect of the company. The original pouncing dog was introduced in a containment shape. I also presented a word mark that could be changed up throughout the year with different patterns and design elements.
